jock and his broken bivvy

hummmm stories to tell, well seen as this is jocks website, i think the 1st story should be about him!
its one of them funniest moments that i will never forget!

it was late December of 2006 on one cold windy morning. jock and clive had been fishing on the road bank of stonar lake, on swims called the life boy and the reeds. i was currently fishing in the 'i feel overs' ( a swim named after jock, but thats a story for another time) at stonar as well.

i decided to have a walk round and scrounge a few fags and as many cups of tea the old boy would make! after chatting to them both about recent catches and so on, jock with his constant P**s taking out of clive, got to big headed and started to walk backwards to there 'social bivvy'. on doing so he slid on a stone, put his foot behind him to stop himself from falling over and with doing that then tripped on a tree root and polvolted himself into his bivvy, almost flattening it! and theres poor old me trying not to laugh!

of cause after the shock of doing it, a very red embarrassed face soon appeared and we all laughed about it almost to the point of not being able to breath.

this is just one of the many funny storys i have to tell about the social side of carp fishing i have witnessed.

he he i got a little story, after 10 years of not fishing i got back into it like never before, then i met kent aka kentmac. He talked about carp and showed me some pics. That was it i was well and truelly bitten by the carp bug. So i went out bought loads of gear and me and kent did our fist visit to stonar. Kent showed me how to spod and use a marker. Then he let me have a go with his marker rod. So after a few trys i attempted to cast to the bar infront of secerets as i wanged the marker rod as hard as i dare. But in stead of the float tearing across the lake, i got caught on kents spod rod and it came flying over both our heads and luckly into the reeds...... funny afterwards but kent was so cool about it. Cheers dude heres to more great days
As long as i have my fishing i will stay sane, or i may turn insane........
